The Building Services Associate performs building, common area, and grounds cleaning services on a daily basis in accordance with Company standards. This individual assists other community personnel on an as-needed basis as well as verifies model room and first impression readiness. Additionally, this individual is responsible for assisting the Fire Safety Director in carrying out the requirements of all federal, state, and local laws, including Fire Safety and Fair Housing regulations.
- Provide cleaning services for business offices, interior and exterior public and common areas, and amenities of the community in a safe, neat, clean, and attractive condition.
- Provide floor care services for carpet, tile, and wood floors, including vacuuming, extracting, buffing, sealing, stripping, and other services as needed.
- Compact and remove trash and debris from community areas.
- Maintain all grounds, including sidewalks, public walkways and stairways, building exteriors, and garden areas in a neat, clean and attractive condition.
- Perform basic maintenance-related work requests, including but not limited to touch-up painting, spot cleaning carpets in apartments and common areas, and filter changes in apartments.
- Assist residents with their luggage and other items.
- Conduct quality assurance checks of rent-ready apartments, model rooms, and common areas and verify their condition is consistent with brand standards.
- Transport resident deliveries to their rooms and assists them in unpacking, if necessary.
- Perform duties of the Fire Safety Director in the absence of the Fire Safety Director, except supervising Fire Safety Staff training.
- Complete the daily check of the availability of Fire Safety wardens and deputies.
- Assist the Fire Safety Director in carrying out the requirements of the FDNY plan and Fire Code/Rules in the presence of the Fire Safety Director.
- Notifiy management concerning the need for repairs.
- Report potentially unsafe conditions promptly to Supervisor.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work performed.
- May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
